For those of you who are telling me that Fidelity told you that you cannot withdraw funds that you deposited from you Roth IRA Check out Fidelity’s own website Look under Can I withdraw money from my IRA Scroll down to the third paragraph and it says “For a Roth IRA, you can take a PENALTY -FREE, FEDERAL TAX FREE distribution of CONTRIBUTIONS at any time.” Next it goes on to address when can you take earnings And it says Provided you have met the five-year aging requirement, and one of the following conditions, you may ALSO take a tax-free and penalty-free distribution of EARNINGS: Over age 59½ Death or disability First-time home purchase So if your advisor tells you different send them to their own website and then switch advisors 🤦‍♀️
