For those of you who are telling me that Fidelity told you that you cannot withdraw funds that you deposited from you Roth IRA Check out Fidelity’s own website https://www.fidelity.com/retirement-ira/ira-rules-faq Look under Can I withdraw money from my IRA Scroll down to the third paragraph and it says “For a Roth IRA, you can take a PENALTY -FREE, FEDERAL TAX FREE distribution of CONTRIBUTIONS at any time.” Next it goes on to address when can you take earnings And it says Provided you have met the five-year aging requirement, and one of the following conditions, you may ALSO take a tax-free and penalty-free distribution of EARNINGS: Over age 59½ Death or disability First-time home purchase So if your advisor tells you different send them to their own website and then switch advisors 🤦‍♀️
